Kayak Launch Location


Old Stone Bridge Fishing Pier, Tiverton: (CRMC designated public access) Directions from Rt 24/Rt138 north or south. Exit at Rt 77 (Exit 5) to Tiverton. Continue south on Rt 77 to the site which is he eastern abutment of the 1907 stone bridge that was destroyed by Hurricane Carol in 1954. Kayaks can be only launched conveniently on the south side of the granite bridge foundations. There are very strong tidal currents in the passage between the two abutments. Plan your direction of paddleing accordingly. Tiverton has their town beach there and charges a parking fee for non-town residents during the summer season in the daytime. The public restrooms are only open when the beach is open.
