King Park,Wellington Ave, Newport: (Town Park) Directions from downtownNewport, turn South onto Thames St. at the Red Parrot Restaurant, goby Salas' restaurant, (will be a one way) then turn RIGHT (west) ontoWellington Ave. King Park is the waterfront area before the Ida LewisYacht Club. Some of the street parking along the Park is forresidents only. Boat parking is farther along, on both sides of thesteet near the launch site. Launching is from the concrete ramp orfrom the sandy beach to the right of the ramp. There are no publicrestrooms by the launch, but there is one next to the basefall field which is open during the summer.
